Greetings from Oak Chapel! My name is Nancy Nixon.

As the current Lay Leader, one of my jobs is to help you find your place at Oak Chapel. Some people attend church on Sundays without becoming members, others become members but only wish to attend services, others are more actively involved in small groups or service work. All are welcome. Being an active member of Oak Chapel is great for the church, but it can also be great for you by providing you with a second family. The Oak Chapel family is not perfect, of course, but I have found a great deal of comfort and support, and my faith has grown a lot since I became more involved in getting to know people and joining a couple of small groups. If you are wondering how to "get connected", please give me a call or talk to me at church. Nobody will twist your arm to take on church work - if they do, please let me know! Also, if you need anything or have ideas about improvements at Oak Chapel, I would love to hear from you.
